The Quotable Rogue: The Ideals of Sarah Palin in Her Own Words, by Matt Lewis
When Sarah Palin came onto the public radar screen as the chosen V.P. running mate for the White House with then Senator John McCain, the country was taken by storm. The Quotable Rogue is a collection of Palin’s quotes on every topic imaginable that was recorded during her many interviews and public speeches.
I admit I like Sarah Palin. I like her actual quotes as well as the ones Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live made. I like that she is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the political scene that has been stifled with long time politicians who have lost touch with the average American, of whom they are supposed to be representing.
The media created such frenzy with the possibility of the first female U.S. vice president that it was difficult to know exactly what Palin actually said, what she meant, and what the media, both serious and humorous took out of content. If you ever wondered who Sarah Palin is and what her thoughts are on various topics on politics, her loyalties, her knowledge, her strength – this is the book to read.
I along with the rest of the country was intrigued by this woman – good or bad, before you make a decision be educated to the facts, not snowed in by what the media presents. In this book along with her memoire, “Going Rogue”, her essence is encapsulated. Although most people probably believe that Palin is never going to return to the political scene, it seems unlikely with her popularity and continued presence in mainstream media that she is done with politics. Palin has far more to offer this country and I don’t believe it’s about which political party she belongs to, although that is politics, I believe that God is not done with her and she is continuing to seek Him and taking care of her family and her alliances by being just below the radar for this season.
